Private browsing is a way of browsing internet, without leaving any footprint or without letting anyone to access your private information like as passwords, emails, bank details, and etc.

It could be like as using internet without saving any cookies or without saving any data history.

Is incognito mode 100% private?

Browsing in incognito mode is not very much different than the traditional way. The only difference is that while using internet in incognito mode, device and web browser will not save any data from searched queries.

A user with computer knowledge can easily get all the searched data, which would accessed in incognito mode.

Meanwhile, the internet service provider can easily access to all of your searched data history. It is private but we can’t say that it is 100% private. There are many more professional ways to use private browsing.

But if user is using browser by activating the incognito mode, there would be no cookies and no history of searched terms stored in browser.

Use of incognito mode:

Incognito mode is used for separating the rarely searched terms from regular search history and cookies of browser. It doesn’t disturb the searched history and cookies of browser which user use on daily basis.

How do I turn on incognito mode?

Many of the different applications/browsers available in the market for private browsing. Those browsers made up to provide fully private browsing to user. But if user don’t want to go with those browsers, then user can user incognito mode in there regular web browser.

If user wants to access incognito mode, they should use Ctrl+Shift+N in windows and Command+Shift+N Mac OS.
Other way is to click on the menu on the upper right, then click on the three vertical dots, and then select New Incognito Window.

You can also access incognito mode in mobile device in settings option.

Can wifi owner see what sites I visited incognito?

While incognito mode is activated web browser doesn’t store any data, history or cookies of searched terms by user. No data of searched queries left in the browser.

But incognito mode can’t hide data from internet service provider or wifi owners. Internet provider can easily access and check the visited websites by the user. The search history and cookies available for the internet service provider.
